Fitting a drive belt to an Indesit tumble dryer
This was not an easy task, Indesit could have designed the drive system to make it easier to maintain. I had to remove both side panels and loosen the rear panel to slip on the new belt , past the drum bearing ( regrease it), and use leverage to slip the belt onto the tensioner pulley. No specialist tools required. In total the job took 3 hours to complete. Note these drive belts only just outlast the guarantee period (two years). So always order two drive belts and keep the second one safe until required.

Hornby R8096 metal wheels
If fitting these wheels to Triang products, beware the axles do not fit. You will have to carefully remove the Hornby wheels from the Hornby axles and install them onto the old triang axles. ( a bit fiddley). Measure with calipers the distance between the backs of wheels on each axle it should be 14 mm plus or minus 0.3 mm. Don't forget to lubricate the axle and it should run very well on series 6 track. ( I used the wheels to replace old plastic tender wheels on Triang Princess class locomotives. Very pleased with the end results !)

Yes it works very well, thanks Gaugemaster!
After one month of use I can confirm that locos run more evenly and smoothly at slow speeds. Armatures also appear to stay clean ! Don't use it on DCC its not for that !! DC only.
