Excellent lens!
0 of 1 found this helpful I bought this lens because I wanted a focal length that would give me the same field of view a 50mm lens would provide on a FF dSLR or a 35mm film SLR.
After shooting for about 30 years on a Canon AE-1 with a 50mm lens, I wanted to get a similar experience using my Canon 77d. The Sigma 30mm 1.4 lens does exactly that.
It has become my favorite prime lens along with the Sigma 17-50mm 2.8.
The Sigma 30mm is a delight to use, and the f/1.4 aperture allows the use of lower ISO settings and faster shutter speeds.
I'm getting great results!
