good value
It looks more like most i.e. zinc plated but not galvanized. Otherwise for most uses it is fine for light loads.

Quality sound and loud with no distortion.
2 of 2 found this helpful The quality of sound and no distortion at high volume is fantastic. I also can't believe how good the base is for such a small speaker. The first price was unbelievable at $128 and I then I had to get a second at $158 which is still a bargain. I have one on each end of my back yard for pool listening or campfire listening in AZ depending on the weather.
Then had to by one for a friend, it is so awesome....pretty enthusiastic for a retired engineer don't ya think?
