Decent amp at a great price.
6 of 6 found this helpful Always been a fan of Orion, I have 2 XTR amps in my truck and they are the best amps I have ever owned! When it came time to choose an amp for my Bluetooth shop stereo, Orion was the first place I looked. I didn't have high hopes for the cobalt, being their cheaper line. The amp is nothing special, but definitely worth the money. The one thing I don't agree with, it's the way Orion rates their cheaper amps "music power". I couldn't find any RMS numbers before I ordered it, so I'll share what my amp did for anyone that's looking to buy the cobalt 1200.4. It did 109W per channel at 4 ohms. It's a 100 watt amp, not "175". I hope this review helps someone out there.

Great quality and fit.
Amazing grills! They fit my sb acoustics 6.5s like they are made for them 😁

Very disappointed in Rockford
0 of 1 found this helpful I loved all my Rockford amps from the past, but this one left a bad taste in my mouth. Bought it to run 2 pair of 6.5" midbass speakers in my doors. The amp got very hot, to the point of thermal shutdown in as little as 30 min. 2 weeks after being installed, it died and took out 2 speakers with it. The amp was replaced under warranty. The second amp got hot as well and shut down on long drives. It lasted about 4 months before it died, and took out another 2 speakers. After sending it in for repair, reinstalled it and it still got hot and went into production. I had already lost $1000 worth of speakers because of this amp so I replaced it with a Taramps 2000X4. The taramps blew it out of the water, in every regard! The P1000X2 may work better on subs, but I would never use it for mids/highs!
