Time travel Timex
1 of 1 found this helpful While in 1918, the waterbury watch company (now timex) only made these in nickle plate and often made them for the Ingersoll brand, this watch is almost perfect in size and style. Mineral dome crystal and sub dial for seconds are done perfectly. Along with Timex updated quarts movement, this is a very cool looking historically (other than case color) accurate watch that is comfortable and worthy of every day use. Enjoy

Great and recommended, just not perfect.
1 of 1 found this helpful 4MM larger than the original, quartz when the original was manual wind. Actually nicer made than the original. Leather is much too thick. And the strap is held on by pin-bars and not one sold bar like the original.
That being said, do I like it, YES, would I buy it again, YES. keeps better time than the original and will probably work longer than the original.
Without doubt, captures the WW1 and 1920's look and feel. If you like history, this will be a great conversation starter. If you don't like history, it is a darn cool looking time piece.
Oh yeah one other big plus, the dial glows without using actual Radium ! Great change especially if you don't want cancer! LOL! History buffs with get this humor.

The Waltons in the 1930's
2 of 2 found this helpful Excellent family and historical stories about a large family in the great depression of post 1929. Interesting life stories with out a vulgar word or sexual statement. We can watch it with the kids and everyone is entertained! The Walton family actually says a blessing at dinner; no ya know that would not be allowed on todays TV! IF you are sick of the constant sex, vulgarity, violence, cop shows, medical shows, reality shows (that are dumb beyond belief (except survivor)) endless talk/advice shows and the totally annoying paid programs.... stock up on the Waltons, nice break from TV today!
