Best Loaf Pans for Yeast Sandwich Loaf Bread

I’ve been baking all of our bread since January 2018. I like to use a 9”x5” pan for the loaves because you naturally get a larger loaf that lasts longer. I’ve been coveting a set of the Fat Daddio’s 9x5 loaf pans for several months now. I got a great deal on this eBay purchase. I especially like that the sides are not slanted which helps to bake nice high, uniform loaves. The aluminum heats quickly and evenly resulting in beautifully high loaves with a nice tender crust on the bottom and sides. I’m very pleased with these pans!

Farberware® Luna 2.5- Quart Tea Kettle in White

Sorry I Bought this Kettle

This is a nice looking tea kettle, but it is much slower to come to a boil than my old $8.99 Copco kettle that I bought at Walmart 10 years ago. A full kettle takes over 10 mins to boil while the same amount of water in my old Copco kettle takes only 6.5 mins to come to a boil. Also the whistle is has a very soft tone and is hard to hear. If I let the kettle continue to whistle it does eventually get louder. I’ve decided I prefer functionality over beauty and put my old reliable Copco $8.99 kettle back on the stove and the Farberware kettle back into the box it came in. An expensive lesson learned.

An Ingenious and Effective Kitchen Sink Stopper

I’ve toyed with buying a set of Oxo Kitchen Sink Stoppers for my kitchen sink for quite some time, but thought they were over priced. Then I saw this great deal on eBay to get two at a very good price, so I ordered them. I have been extremely pleased with them! I wash our dishes by hand so having an effective and convenient sink stopper is a plus. These stoppers hold the water in the sink for hours without draining. But what I really like is that I just need to turn that little lever clockwise 1 1/2 turns to seal the drain and then to drain it 1 1/2 turns counter clockwise to drain the sink, easy-peasy! And they look nice in the sink too. They are well worth the price for the convenience!
