Understanding the Dean of American Illustrators
A. B. Frost was by all accounts the best of the best during the Golden Age of Illustration. Henry Reed gives a compelling account of his many interests, business sense, and prodigious talent. Frost was an avid sportsman as well as a keen study of human nature. His depictions of everyday life in the late 19th century give us a record of the everyday man at work, play, and rest. His candid eye for detail and his humor exploring the human condition give us a glimpse of bygone days. Our Grandparents and Great Grandparents come to life in his paintings, illustrations, and drawings. A must read for sportsmen, American History buffs, and art students.
