Take a Stand!
Although I sometimes miss the massive look of the old touring hardware(Tama Titan), I am getting used to the newer lighter weight stands now available. I checked pricing, features and finish of many of the new models. I ordered and returned or resold some of them so I could get a 'hands on' test drive and found that this model does a good job and they look great. Plus, when you bundle them, the price is even better.

Heavy weight
Easy to use during head changes because it spins and its balanced. The quick disconnect from the lanyard helps to keep it handy during setup.

Ok- ish
Is quiet at slower speeds. Very sturdy though. I think it will hold up. I use it for stage performance. Shouldn't be a problem. Noise comes from wobble. So we'll have to seen how long it holds up under heavy use.
