My Mom Loves This Pen!
4 of 4 found this helpful I wanted to get my mom a nice pen to match her nice handwriting; and this pen is EXACTLY what I wanted for her.
Im not sure if the pen is made out of real gold plate and porcelain (im no expert), but it sure looks like it is!
The pen is made VERY well, better than some of the Cross pens i own. However after handfilling the ink converter with the pen's ink; I ran into a small fault.
Not really a fault, perhaps just one of my clumsy antics.
The pen cap comes off by pulling it; NOT twisting. If you twist it; the nib and grip part will come apart from the very pretty handle. Then it will get stuck inside the cap.
No need to fear however; just twist the part of the pen sticking out from the cap and it will come out.
Also, remember when you buy this pen that it DOESN'T TAKE INK CARTRIDGES. Not even the ink cartridges made for the pen will fit right. I bought the Jinhao ink cartridges anyway because I'm an idiot and used a syringe to extract the ink and fill the converter. Then just pop it in the pen and push the lever a tad until you see the ink come down the nib.
The ink WILL NOT reach the tip of the nib when you fill it the first time because the tip is coated in an alcohol so it doesn't deform during shipping. Just wave the njlib over an open flame for 2 to 4 seconds and then the ink will flow to the tip. Dont overdo the time over the flame or the nib will become brittle.
This isnt a problem as it is customary for fountain and calligraphy pens to have this protective coating.
Overall this pen is FANTASTIC QUALITY for the price. 4 dollars is honestly not alot for a fountian pen. After seeing my mom writing with this pen I bought myself one that i use for writing and drawing. The Jinhao ink is of good quality too. It doesn't skip or bleed; even on printer paper.
The shipping was fast for where he is coming from and was nicely packaged.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROJECT!

Extremely Disappointed
I am just now watching season 1-3, on the box, the inside packages (3) it has pics in color of the shows, however, when playing these it is in black & white. Is the entire set in black & white. If so, you should have specified that it was not in color. Why wouldn't you mention that?

GREAT Kneaded Eraser
When i recieved the eraser it was in a quite big envelope for a small eraser lol. The envelope had an office supply title on it so maybe it was shipped from an office supply store.The product itself was wrapped in a small plastic envelope that read 'PRISMACOLOR Kneaded Eraser'. I suggest to any artist out there to use these Prismacolor kneaded erasers and NOT cheap ones like Artist Loft (it's unnecessarily sticky and leaves grey smudges on your paper).
I use this eraser to lift up graphite pencil and erase small spots as it isn't hard like other types of eraser so it won't disturb the tooth of your paper- or your wallet.
As the title says-you knead the eraser. Stretch it and roll it to 'clean' it. You can shape it to a point so it can erase small area or flatten it out to cover more surface area.
It came in about 4 days where i am; just in the nick of time as i was working on a project!
Great product, price, and seller! Would definitely recommend to any artist to have a self-cleaning, shapeable, kneaded eraser!
