Helps
It does help improve signal, but only one extra bar for me. Would be better with the “Y” connector (sold separately) to amplify both ports. I was surprised by the amount of force needed to connect it to the Wi-fi for such a small fitting.

Couldn’t get it to work at first until I coated the inside with wd40, then it started to push some bbs thru. It’s a little clunky but it does work.

Unit is very clean and looks almost new or possibly refurbished. The controller and cables also appear new.

The only thing questionable is storage space. Around 650 gig storage on a 1 terabyte system? I think mine i bought new had a little over 800 gig storage. It works well though and kid is happy with it.
