    Panasonic triumphs again.
The first thing that struck me about the FZ28 was it's lightness coupled with a neat compactness that sits in the hand so comfortably, and securely. Turn the control dial to IA (Intelligent Auto) and just be amazed at how the camera adjusts to the various light and distance conditions. If it's a shot you need to take quickly without thinking of set up, this has to be the best option available, and it delivers every time. I did find the On/Off switch a little fiddly now that it is situated on the top rather than the back as in older models, but it's only a small niggle, not a problem. The quick menu button is very useful, and I feel that I shall be making a lot of use of this feature. All in all a lovely camera, one which I shall enjoy using to the full, and of course that Leica lens, you just can't beat it.

    Quality Glass
As expected from Zeiss lenses the images are sharp, and well toned. Good colour rendering, and so far no discernible aberrations. The aperture ring has a nice solid feel to the clicks as I stop down or open up, the focussing smooth, and this particular lens there is a natty built in retractable lens hood. I'm using this lens on my Sony A7 with an M42 to Nex adapter. All in all, a good piece of 'old' glass for a very reasonable outlay.
