Bachmann Trains Thomas and Friends Brake Van 77045 HO/OO 2005 Brand New

Great wagon, but a bit lacking in paint work
I caught a few of these brake vans back in late 2019 as I needed some for some of the trains, as most Thomas fans tell you that you can't have a train without one. These were in the market between 2005 to 2013, though I'm not sure when all of their stock was gone as it might be delayed within a year or so. I quite like these and thought they are designed like in the show. The only issue is that they feel incomplete in terms of paint, as it's just painted gray with no painted details unlike the later ones with Toad and the Spiteful Brake Van. But otherwise, it's a good item to collect.

BACHMANN HO THOMAS THE TANK # 58740 CELEBRATION THOMAS, FACTORY SEALED

Not the best repaint, but still manageable
So this was a model Bachmann made for Thomas' 70th anniversary back in 2015 and was one I didn't had my eyes out for a while, but figured getting it after it was taken off the market last year. It's still the same model Bachmann made for years, with the exception of the blue metallic paint and flags on the sides. I quite like the blue color as it makes it feel very special, kinda like how Take-Along did with their range back in the 2000s. The only downside are the flags, as I feel like they kinda ruin the paint job for me. I would've prefer it if the flags were a separate piece onto the engine, but I guess Bachmann didn't want to do this as it would've been either a choking hazard for kids or that the plastic pieces would've broke off easily. Still, it's a decent repaint, but I think I prefer the green repaint Bachmann made last year.

Great Rare Bachmann Item!
So these were released during the late 2000s/early 2010s, but I wasn't lucky enough to get them at the time as my parents only bought the Bachmann stuff from only one retailer, and by the time I wanted to get them, they were hard to come by. Even after Bachmann re-released them with the logs, I wanted to get the originals as I've been collecting some wagons for my new collection, as one of the learning segments from "Calling All Engines! showed off two loads. Thankfully I was able to find some from the same state as I was as I was able to complete my collection. I think I like the paint barrels than the logs, as I feel like the logs are a bit too cheap. But it's also due to how the logs can come off easily when going through tight curves, and also how the barrels are very colorful. The only issue I have is that the pieces of the barrels are just grouped rather than individual ones. Another thing is that even if they are brand new, there might be some paint issues on the barrels. But I'm still happy for getting these!
