scaring but very simple and somewhat entertaining
enjoyable to watch kept you waiting for the flash forward part as in the original but never happened the story was more about them as kids than adults and even though some of the main characters in this version stood out they were secondary in the original over all it was better in the scare but far less in the entertainment but overall if asked to watch again i would but would need another few years before seeing both versions again.

Glad to now own on DVD so we can watch it over and over again.
This Movie ranks up there as one of the best films you will ever see Tom Hanks in. His portrayal of the Head Guard on the Green Mile on Death row is amazing and all who are in it are outstanding performances. This movie will keep you glued to your seat from start to end and will have you crying whether your young or old. John Coffe like the drink but not spelled the same is one of those wonderful gifts sent to do Gods work in special ways and ending that life as a Murderer does just that. It proves that the innocent can be found guilty of doing nothing wrong but being in the wrong place at the wrong time. My wife and i enjoyed this movie so much that when we finished watching it, we took it over to some friends house who had never seen it and watched it again. This is truly one of Tom Hanks best right along with Castaway and Forrest Gump. Well done.
