In MyTop Ten Of My All Time...
2 of 2 found this helpful Peter Matthiessen's volume is a must read, can't put it down account of prior events weaving into the warp of current events. As a leisurely as well as gripping and well-sourced exposition of recent history that is worth reading more than once, it may be worthwhile to go ahead and buy it. I've read it twice now. Borrowed it both times it. Lost it both times. Had to replace it both times. I just gave it as a gift, remembered how good it is and how much I enjoyed it. I finally bought a copy for myself. I'll have something reliable to fall back on when the need arises as it always does during times of drought.

Finally, a decent pen.
Easy to calibrate. It's push-button calibration is way better than the screw-tip calibration design. Only takes a few seconds. After buying one, I bought several since none of these pH pens work for very long. Kissed a lot of frogs to find a pen that works, is dependable, and easy to calibrate.
