Very disappointed in the quality!
I purchased this product expecting to be able to sit on my patio on sunny days as well as rainy days. It's good for shading from the sun but it's too flimsy to support any weight of water and it doesn't get tight enough for the water to run off therefor the water starts seeping through the material. I would not recommend this awning to anyone. It's also not able to withstand any wind so if you would forget to retract it or a sudden wind gust would or strong breeze would sneak up on you while it's extended, you will be out an awning as it will be destroyed in no time at all. I guess I should have known that anything freestanding such as this would not be very strong and reliable. It was looking a difficult installation. The instructions are not detailed enough.
