Glad I did my homework
2 of 2 found this helpful Prior to purchasing a food dehydrator, I spend a considerable amount of time researching and studying most of the home size food dehydrators common to the market. One of the facts I learned is that some of the lower powered units have limited capacities regarding some foods due to the required temperature to safely dry that kind of food. This unit does not disappoint yielding enough power to expand to the highest possible capacity and still safely dry any kind of food. Options are another item considered with the Presto winning offering the most complete package with digitally settable temperature and timer with a simple and easy to read display and intuitive controls. It also has the optional fruit roll up trays and a fine mesh screen for expanded functionality. The trays stack one way and it expands for use and stacked the other way they nest for storage with the lid still fitting tightly on top to help keep the insides clean while being stored. It's light enough that I can easily put it on top of the fridge when not in use. The capacity is pretty impressive too. I have dried about two pounds of lean ground beef into jerky in a single batch. I also added a jerky gun which helps making jerky considerably easier. I think some units come with it and if I did it all over again, I would try to select one that comes with it.

Expectations exceeded
I really wasn't expecting much from a guitar costing me less than a hundred dollars. That being said, there were some minor issues with the guitar when I pulled from the box. The packaging was intact and complete. It appeared to have the original sealing tape still, not opened and re-sealed. Upon initial inspection, the guitar was dirty and still had polish in spots. After thoroughly wiping the guitar down with some polymer safe cleaner, there was a spot on the tuner head and the heel that were apparently rubbed against the cardboard making dull spots in the finish though the finish was not rubbed through making it possible to restore the gloss with a fine polish. Once clean, I went strait into tuning with a chromatic tuner. New nylon strings always take a long period of tuning stretching and re-tuning which usually takes more than an hour before the strings will hold tune long enough to play through a song. This is to be expected with any classical or nylon string guitar because of the nature of the strings not as a fault of the guitar. However, it didn't take me long to realize something was wrong and that the string were installed out of order with the A string switched with the D string. Though it might be possible to swap them back to the right locations, it just wouldn't be right because of the way they tie in. I replaced them with a new set from a reputable manufacturer and again commenced the tuning process. This time everything was as expected. Once tuning held relatively stable and I could start playing some actual music, I was pleased with the results. The action is good and the tone is nice. The woods and binding used in the construction are very nice and the finish is glossy and thick making the repair of blemishes manageable. It's commonly considered undesirable to have a thick finish due to the effect it has on the tone but in this case it's a good thing because I intend to use it as a travel guitar and the tone is still really good. Overall I recommend this guitar but recommend replacing the strings right away.

Good for cheap
2 of 2 found this helpful I have always had a soft spot for tube tents because of their simplicity and usability though limited. I would tinker and make closures on the ends of them which always came out sloppy and rougher than intended. I was enticed by the materials used because of the tear resistance and heat reflective qualities. the integrated closures make it feasible for mildly poor weather camping. As a survival shelter it's significantly more capable of saving a life. It could make the difference between dying miserably and surviving comfortably. These would also be a great affordable choice for some back yard kid camping which I always loved growing up even in the city. The cons are that the shelter is bulkier than higher quality shelters with similar capacity and much heavier which is where all continuity is lost because the tube tents I grew up with were extremely light and compact. In this shelter's defence; those other shelters were somewhat disposable and cost about the same. These also benefit from loops at the corners of the floor to stake it down the four included stakes and eyelets where the included line comes through. As an added benefit you don't have to pitch it to use it just climb in and use it like a bivouac sack. Also the bright orange colour might help being found if a survival situation occurred.
