Not Many OTHER Movies Better Than This...
The Movie: I was laughingly surprised and highly satisfied once I finally watched this movie. I had at first thought "Aw, some Naked Gun ripoff or something like that..." No - this is original, hilarious and a keeper for any DVD collection. It is almost over the top but has a reserved framework that makes it all work. Everyone in this film delivers great performances - Ferrell is NOT the usual character you think of with him, and Wahlberg just rules with his aggression, delivery and always wanting things to be more dramatic than they are. Everyone is a pain in his butt - except Sheila (you'll see). Michael Keaton is great as their beleaguered Captain. Both Versions included are good; I need to watch again as I think that while the UNRATED one adds a bit, it also seems to have some things trimmed away from the theatrical version.
The Set: This is the package I always look for - delivering the most bang for the bucks. Blu-Ray is awesome as expected, plus you get the regular DVD. The digital download went perfectly. I am not big on extra features like interviews, making-ofs, etc - other reviews might cover those. But I tell you, not many other movies will top The Other Guys for Action Comedy - for me there is no OTHER choice!

NOT Just for Kids!
This is a 1.3mm lead "automatic pencil" - marketed as a learning-to-write tool for kids but definitely a worthy tool for any artist. It is well-made - the front end is rubbery and the pencil's length allows for any number of grips and drawing positions. The 1.3mm lead is a recent and exciting discovery for me as a cartoonist; I can use the edge of the thick lead for a finer, sharper line - or tilt up for bold lettering and shading. This is a nice addition to any studio - hobbyist or professional. This proves you do not have to spend a lot to get a lot.

Kid Stuff... and MORE!
A well-made 1.3mm lead automatic pencil. As a sometimes-paid cartoonist, I tried these and was astounded at the handling and usefulness of this thicker lead. It does not pop and break and you can use the edge of the lead for sharp lines or tilt back up for bold lines. It is also great for rapidly shading large areas. I have purchased several packs of these - they will always be one of my go-to's now that I have tried them.
