These surrounds have thick outer edges so you don't need the cardboard factory ones.

Works Great!! Just take your time and follow instructions. After attaching the surround to the cone and letting it dry, I glued outer surround 1 side at a time - each time pushing the center coil up and down and sliding the still wet outer surround till there was no rubbing. Let dry and repeat 3 more times.
