Excellent Guitar
1 of 1 found this helpful Wonderful guitar. So glad that they finally cut down the thickness of the Gretsch body. Finally found a Gretsch that is very comfortable to play and doesn't feel bulky.

Gretsch 5420T 920D Custom Shop upgrade
I was looking for a new guitar to add to my collection and was very interested in the Gretsch line. Went to a local music store and tried out the Gretsch G6118T and absolutely loved the way it played and felt. Was about to make the purchase and one of the guitar techs asked if I’d ever played the Gretsch 5420T. Replying that I hadn’t he got a beautiful blue one down for me and let me play on it for a while. I couldn’t believe what a wonderful sounding guitar this was; the craftsmanship; and the play ability. So now I was in a dilemma, get the 6118T or the 5420T. There really isn’t much difference in the two guitars with the exception of a couple of grand. So l left and told the guitar tech that I would have to think about it. I went home and go onto eBay and started pricing the G5420T’s and ran across the add from Sigler Music with the upgraded pots, switches and the addition of the TV Jones Brian Setzer pickups. At that point I knew that that was the guitar that I wanted so I pushed the button. The upgrade job that was performed by the crew at Sigler Music is first class. The guitar arrived in beautiful condition and the set-up was on point. All I had to do was tune the guitar and I was off rocking. Can’t say enough on how happy I am with the decision to purchase this particular guitar and the TV Jones Brian Setzer pick ups are awesome! Thanks again to Sigler Music and the 920D Custom Shop.
