come west along the road dvd info

this is the single most important dvd in my dvd music study, as an old world traditional irish music lover and aspiring player i have viewed many dvds on this subject and i have to say that reguardless of cost that no other dvd can come close to being as complete as this one especially with the historical footage of the greats of traditional irish music playing,a super value for around ten bucks with shipping id have gladly paid 3 times as much just for the historical record of it !!

us folks here in louisiana in the cajun music circle consider this to be the bible of cajun music,i saw a fellow cajun player at the jam session with a copy and had to have one, it has alot of cajun french to english transalations and history of tunes,there are hundredes of tunes included along with alot of how to explanations,its just the most complete and thorough text i know of and would reccomend it to anyone wanting to know more about cajun music or want to learn to play a few tunes,the only gripe i have is that the book retailed for about between 60 and 70 dollars new and to get a new copy now is going to be possably hundreds if you dont luck out,this copy i bought was an x library copy and was able to accuire it in a decent shape for arround 20 plus shipping,i had to clean the librarry stickers off and such but the saveings in cost was worth it,wishing everyone the best and happy playing !
