A James Dean 49 Mercury.
A Holy Grail, of sorts, as Oxford Diecast seems to no longer produce the 49 Mercury in black. It seems slightly large, like 1:80th, but not noticeable as a foreground piece and kept well away from Busch, Woodland Scenics and Brekina autos. But, if you want a stand-in for James Dean's Mercury, you likely won't care, anyway. Detailing id very good and Mercury nameplate can be read under magnification. The model can be disassembled and a driver can be inserted. This is a must have auto for 1949 to current era.

Athearn Ford C tractor
A very good model of the Ford C Tractor is fairly detailed and a slice of America. Thousands plied American hiways for years, and still do. Available in many colors and prices. Be patient - your price and color will eventually pop up. One minor note: the driveshaft was missing on one of my models. Easy to fabricate a driveshaft, though.

Ever notice model railroaders are also car guys?
You can have a lot of fun with this one! Paint it to better match the photo on box (or at least Testors Dull Cote) and decide on the autos. A touch tedious to get glass in the Fords, though. I made my model a European used car lot and have Volvo, Volkswagen, Opel, Porsche of the 60's represented here. Add a few onlookers and a cigar-chomping salesman and you're in business. Be sure to add the banners as it really completes the illusion. Definitely a fun model.
