Delightful, especially if you understand French!
I love this film and saw it in a cinema years ago in the original French (we live in Quebec). It's brilliantly and lavishly done and I'm glad to own it now.
The one drawback is the sound on the DVD: if you want to hear the dialogue (which I do, it's wildly funny), you have to crank up the volume - and then the background music (which is terrific) will deafen you.
If only DVD makers took the same care as the film crew and actors...
Despite the uneven sound, it's still a great film. Now that I own it, I'll watch it often, it's a good way to relax after a stressful day.

an old favorite
See it especially for Jimmy Stewart.

Dave is great.
Two good, old-style "presidential" fantasies, in the days when everyone still believed in the magic of that office.
I bought it, really, for Dave, a truly delightful tale featuring Sigourney Weaver and the wonderfully intelligent and goofy Kevin Kline. So glad I watched it.
The other movie, despite being written by a master of comedy, didn't do so much for me. But it made a good baseline to prepare me for the wonderful "Dave."
