they are not hand guards !!
I'm using them on a modern motorcycle ... they will keep you warm but they are built too small for most adult hand sizes. Once you have a gloved hand inside you'll see they aren't wide enough or deep enough. Slight interference with handlebar controls and they surely won't work if you have hand guards on your machine. Will probably work better on a snowmobile then a motorcycle.

Commanding !
In typical Haynes fashion they try to cover the whole spectrum of machines under one cover. But sometimes miss the point.
