Good fun, with the 3D version worth it for the ending.
The lovable Minions finally get their own full-length movie. Of course this is a nonsensical romp, with no serious message of any vital importance. At the beginning, the plot displays some delightfully absurd warps of history to supply a background for the Minions' long-time lack of success in finding a suitably evil leader. Eventually, three minions, Bob, Kevin, and Stuart embark on a quest to find such a leader on behalf of the whole tribe. What follows is a series of bumbling errors on the part of the intrepid (and often unbelievably stupid) trio. They attempt to link up with a bit over-the-top villainess, Scarlet Overkill, voiced by Sandra Bullock, who obviously had loads of fun doing the part. What ensues is, not surprisingly, utter chaos, which finally ends happily for the whole tribe of Minions. Although I enjoyed the whole film and would recommend it, in places the humor didn't quite jell for me, and it tried a bit too hard to have serious moments, which failed to provide anything specially memorable. Accordingly, I could give it only 4 stars (still very good!) instead of the 5 that others may give it. Also, in order to understand the significance of the ending, it is better if the viewer has some knowledge of "Despicable Me" and/or "Despicable Me 2" before seeing "Minions," but this is not absolutely necessary.
I am a 3D fan, and while I think the 3D satisfyingly enhanced much of the picture, the 3D really paid off at the end under the closing credits, when the Minions exhibit their nonsense obviously staged for the 3D effects, as they did in the closing moments of "Despicable Me" and "Despicable Me 2." Don't walk away from the credits until you see these shenanigans!

Easy to use and store while I am learning to get the ideal golden-brown look.
I lke the way it stores on end. Note, however, that the suggested way of storing the cord around the base allows the waffle maker to come open at the top in storage, which is undesirable. Instead, I wrap the cord around the handles, which keeps the waffle maker closed while it is stored on end. The non-stick surface so far has worked very well, allowing me to remove the cooked waffle without tearing it. My only problem is with my inexperience at judging the timing so as to get that uniformly golden brown look shown in waffle ads!

Simple, sturdy, positive clamping action great for opening most jars.
I have used one of these openers for many years, and when a friend with arthritic hands complained about being unable to open screw-top bottles and metal-lid glass jars from the supermarket, I knew this kind of opener would be ideal for him. You just place the clamp over the lid and slip the clamp to its closest position to the lid diameter as you can get. Then you simply squeeze the handle to keep the clamp from slipping off (this may dent a metal lid slightly), and turn CCW with the long handle for very good leverage. The clamping action across the lid diameter is much better than using the "V" shaped openers, which for me tend to slip when used with metal lids on glass jars. I cannot remember ever having trouble using this opener for screw top and metal lid jars. I wasn't sure this type of opener was still being made by Swing-A-Way, the brand I bought long ago, and I was delighted to find new ones on eBay. You can't beat a tried-and-true design, and I highly recommend this type of opener.
