A collection of best material from a group among the all-time greatest who introduced an innovation to music when psychedelia arrived, drawing on jazz and rhythm-and-blues backgrounds combined with timeless soulful songs to create a hitherto unique sound, matched only by the superb Yardbirds. It was the dawn of Rock and Cream were the cutting edge.

a classic first.
heavy is rather an oddball album with a rare mixture of music styles greatly influenced by old fashioned rock and roll while biased toward the psychedelic of the day, possibly progressive. it is an interesting sound, raw and slightly crude, accomplished with panache. an exhillerating work considering it is among the first of a new generation of music still alive today, and possibly one of the best.
