I needed the RPMs
For the specific type of metal drilling I do, the 4000 RPMs this drill seems to reliably produce is exactly what I've been looking for. To my knowledge, nobody makes a quality drill this fast with a 1/2" collet, so this is the best I can do. The 6 or 7 times I've put it to the test it has performed admirably. I hope it stands the test of time.

If you need it....
The product is first rate. It is all but indestructible. Although the outside is beaten up, as a waterproof padded case, that I can padlock if need be, I am completely confident that anything fragile properly placed inside can be safely transported and stored. It will be perfect for my needs.
It isn't cheap, and the new cost would have been prohibitive for me. Now I have the Cadillac of protective luggage in function, at a much cheaper price, by giving up cosmetics. I'm happy with my purchase.
