WP4317943 Refrigerator Icemaker Ice Maker for Whirlpool Kenmore Kitchenaid NEW

Call me skeptical

I was a bit skeptical when I found this unit. It was cheaper than most of the other icemakers I had found yet seemed to come with all the necessary parts. I have replaced the old unit and this one is working fine, albeit only for a few days. I replaced it Friday and as of today (Monday) lots of ice and no issues. The original unit on my refrigerator had the wiring made into the freezer wall but the cord plug worked just fine on the new unit so I didn't have to use the provided plugs or do any special wiring. I did have to use the bale (shut off arm) from the old unit because the arm on the new unit was to short, again it worked fine in the new unit.

It is a knock-off

Not bad for a copy, fits and seems to do the job. Don't expect the factory filter locks to work. Haven't had it long enough to comment on the washability yet.
