Looks good, but has some issues
This is a realistic-looking model but it has some short comings: 1) The front wheels are for decoration only, they don't turn. The front of the car just slides on the electrical contacts. 2) The front spoiler wing is very fragile, mine arrived broken on one side and required repair. 3) The car is fast, but the included magnet is so strong that I can run the car around a vintage Strombecker track at full speed with no spin outs. No skill required ... so I'll probably remove the magnet.

A necessary addition to any workshop!
J-B Weld Plastic Bonder is an excellent, versatile, adhesive that forms a strong bond with wood, metal, most plastics, glass, etc. and can even serve as a structural filler for small holes and cracks. I use it extensively when building my RC model boats and other "toys" and, recently, to repair a leak in my sister-in-laws car radiator overflow reservoir. This product also has by far the best designed rotating cap closure system I've seen on any adhesive product. One caution, mix the two parts throughly or the product won't completely cure. There are also J-B Weld products designed specifically for plumbing and marine applications. A+++

Exceptional value, greatly exceed advertised output power, but use with caution!
8 of 12 found this helpful We are purchasing batches of 10 (+ one free one!) of these lasers for use in a university physics department. In our electro-optics lab are well-calibrated laser power meters that allowed us to measured the total power output of the lasers as between about 5x and 11x the advertised 5 mW. Typically the power output will decrease with use, but still this is a very bright laser pointer for the money. Combined with the supplied two Li-ion batteries, charger, and diffraction grating, these are an exceptional value. Be very cautious as these lasers are bright enough to cause virtually instantaneous retinal damage.
One additional caution: these green laser diodes don't directly produce green light. In fact they contain a high-power infrared diode laser (808 nm), "pumping" a neodymium IR laser (1064 nm) and finally an SHG "doubling crystal" that converts the IR to visible green light (532 nm) by doubling the frequency and halving the wavelength. More expensive laser diodes contain a blocking filter that eliminates virtually all of the IR radiation from the beam. But in our laboratory we measured significant IR output from these laser pointers at both 808 nm and 1064 nm. This IR radiation can be particularly dangerous as it is invisible but passes through the cornea and lens of the eye and can cause significant retinal damage. In summary, these laser pointers are an exceptional value but can be very hazardous if not used with caution and should not be operated by children without direct adult supervision.
