Armrest bone needs better engineering
The instrument itself is wonderful and I'm happy with it. However, the armrest bone should have been thought out more carefully.
For one factor there is but one small screw to hold it in place and allow the bone to swing away behind the instrument to allow storage in the gig bag. The screw provided is too small, should be two sizes bigger since it is the only means of support and at only one end. The small screw provided can be easily bent from pressure and work loose from vibration. When you rest your thumb (or arm) on the bone to pluck with the fingers, the bone cannot stay in place due to being unsupported at the end opposite the screw. Not good! They should have provided a clamp, similar to a small money clip held in place with 2 small screws on the top of the instrument, hanging down on the face of the instrument. This can hold up the unsupported end of the bone while playing. The bone can be easily slipped out of the clip to fold in when placing the instrument in the gig bag.
For the second factor, the armrest bone is illustrated as being meant to mount to the back of the instrument. When using the bone as a thumbrest, this forces the fingers too far away from the strings to pluck without reaching and thus playing in an uncomfortable position. The bone can be mounted to the front of the instrument and still retain the ability to be slipped out of the slip clip and folded in from the pivot screw for storage in the gig bag. However, this can only be accomadated by the afore mentioned "hanging slip clip".
Maybe the manufacturer will make one available?

It's a trap!
These new fangled ee-electrical rugs are swell, Jim Dandy and the bee's knees. They help keep my two tone oxfords shiny and clean. All the swell dames in the soda shop love that. Gettin more leg than an orthopedic surgeon now!
