Historically significant,but very dated technology
5 of 12 found this helpful I have one of these old Interceptors. They were the top performance bikes of 1984 and 1985, but they are nowhere near the standards set by modern performance bikes. The suspension is rudimentary, tire selection is very limited and the brakes are poor. They also suffer from excessive cam lobe wear and weak cam chain tensioners. If you want to own a piece of history, these bikes are cool. They do not compete with modern 600 sportbikes on ANY level, however.
