Customization for the low price
1 of 1 found this helpful This motherboard gave new life to a Q9550 suffering from 4GB max RAM at DDR2 speeds. The upgrade of the chipset, RAM speed, PCIe 2nd Gen, and many other things was very welcome. Even though the RAM is not on the compatibility chart for this board I bought KHX1600C9D3K4/16GX which is 16GB of Kingston HyperX and it works perfectly. The BIOS offers more options for voltage, clocks, etc than what we have ever seen in a motherboard. A true value for the price.

Quiet and moves plenty of air.
There are no cons at this point. The fan is quiet and moves plenty of air to help keep an old Xbox cool. A big upgrade since the previous fan sounded like a prop plane in flight. How long it will last is to be determined.
