Rahsaan Roland Kirk : Does Your House Have Lions: the rahsaan roland kirk
    Jul 26, 2017
    Dreams Realized
There is a "Lion in The House"and his name is Rahsaan Roland Kirk and he's roaring authoritatively- musically on par with creative geniuses like John Coltrane, Sun Ra, and Ornette Coleman. His signature song-- "The Inflated Tear"is considered an avant- garde masterpiece. And expect more bright moments [ dream like ] on this beautifully packaged set.
Butt Naked Free By Guy Davis (CD [HDCD] 14 Songs, Red House Records, 2000)

    Soul- Force
Guy Davis music, the blues are not stereotypically as often suggested- ' downer music'; on the other hand, I feel they're an estatic jump for joy. Davis' music emphasizes that the blues give America such an African character.
Gold of Akan from Glassell Collection - Tribal Ghana West Africa Art Book
    Mar 12, 2016
    The Ecstasy of Gold
The late Senegalese scholar, Cheikh Anta Diop in his book-"The Cultural Unity of Black Africa", postulated that ancient Egypt was culturally and historically related to other African nations, and the Akan people of Ghana being no exception, as especially depicted in the beautifully illustrated book: "Gold of the Akan From the Glassell Collection". Like ancient Egypt or more correctly ancient KMT, the Akan also believed in the sacredness and magic power of gold by embellishing the appearance of life's everyday objects, such as gold rings with skulls, pendants in shape of a beetle, pendants of gold lions, butterflies, birds, golden hair combs, and most impressive the cover art on this book illustrating the Sankofa bird in gold leaf with it's head turning backwards, symbolically meaning to learn from the past to build the future! Albert Einstein once chimed: "Creativity is intelligence having fun". Well the Akan of Ghana are having big fun by expressing via gold, the sacredness within themselves.
