Good value

Save money here because a new remote is quite a bit more. It is a little "challenging" to open up the remote but not bad. Take your time and you will find out it is worth it. My remote is 6 years old but with a new battery who knows? Product is good since I can get by for a longer period of time and unfortunately I cannot describe "how long?" but much better.

Economical option to name brands

Name brand lids are now ridiculous in price. It actually makes home canning too expensive with the cost of jars. Mainstay brand I have used many times before and I can about 250-300 pints per year. They work great! In most cases when they do not seal it is because of other issues by my fault. There are many lids you can buy for a very cheap price but as the saying goes "you get what you pay for". Mainstays have been sold by Walmart in the past and when I first tried them I was skeptical. But following rules of canning they worked very well. I recommend this brand just follow rules of canning.
