Z Scale 70s Era GMC 9500 (Short Hood) Truck Kit by Showcase Miniatures (4033)
Dec 14, 2021
1970 GMC 9500 (“Kit form”)
First time I’ve ever built a model kit out of pure metal ! At first I didn’t know what type of glue to use, but once I found out to use “superglue”, it went together fast ! But, I did (“Paint it, Before I built it”), and in a way it was very similar to the 1/25 scale model metal car kits, just a whole lot of less parts !!! It’s definitely a great starter kit !!! And at 1/220th scale the detail is unbelievable !!!!
Proudly, (“Showcase Miniatures”), are a “mom and pop shop” that I highly recommend everyone support !!! If you noticed the photographs I only glued one smokestack to it instead of two, this series only had one but at 9500 Cubic inches this truck could really do some hauling from the largest manufacture of vehicles, including, cars, trucks, something else most don’t know about, General Motors owns the (“Electric Motive Division”), which makes real locomotives and has been in business since 1940s with their famous F-7’s/GP-7’s locomotives !!! But,(“Showcase Miniatures”) also makes other models as well and in different scales in “HO”, “N”, and in “Z” !!!
Outland Models Railway Miniature Heavy Construction Vehicle Set N Scale 1:160
May 20, 2020
N and Z scale “OutLand Models”
This is a relatively new company that is competing directly Against Märklín and Kirby and all other manufacturers in N & Z scale buildings and accessories ! Their products are very similar to that of styrene or PVC plastic made in a 3-D machine where they can make large amounts of their products at a lower cost ! Which brings the price down to the customer too ! Their detail is exclusive ! I highly recommend any and all (outland Model) buildings and accessories ! You won’t be sorry !
Greenberg’s repair and operating manual for Lionel Trains from 1945 to 1969 ! Definitely one of the best repair manuals I’ve seen up to date !!! Everything is clear and understandable and easy to follow instructions for restoring and repairing old Classic toy trains for Lionel Trains and accessories !!!
Some of the (“best diagrams “) “ exploded pictures “ ‘most likely Taken from the originals’ !!! I’ve only used it twice and it’s already paid for itself two times over !! You just have to be willing to do the labor The rest is a piece a cake !
