110V Round Carbide Saw Blade Grinder Mill Sharpener Machine

Does the job; could use finer machining and clearer instructions

This is the only carbide sharpener I have ever owned, so I cannot compare it with another one. However, I will give my opinion on this machine to help others know if they want to invest. Overall, the machine is built on a heavy base and with solid pieces. What is lacking is the precise machining that one expects from a Japanese, American, or German machine. In other words, this has "Made in China" stamped all over it. It's not terrible, just not great. The instructions seem to have been translated by Google translate or similar; they are not worth a whole lot. But once you get it set up it will sharpen blades. If you are not part mechanic, then this sharpener may not be for you. But if you can use your head and hands together to figure out what is supposed to be happening, then it is capable of doing the job. The motor runs nice and smoothly and seems to have enough power to do its job. I am giving four stars, even though four is supposed to represent "better than expected." It is not better than I really expected, but on a scale of 1-5 I think it does what it is supposed to do, but could use some improvement on the machining end to make things work a little smoother and more tightly. If you are looking to do really precise sharpening on some high end saw blades, then perhaps you should consider another option. But for a carpenter or small furniture builder like myself, I think this will be adequate to get my dull blades usable once again.
