This old house (under construction)
1 of 1 found this helpful It was in a sealed box so there was no issues about missing or broken parts. Like all Plasticville kits, it was designed in the 1950's, when houses were much smaller than today. As a kit designed for kid's train layouts, it was more to "suggest" a house under construction than be a detailed model of an actual structure. It is fun, easy to build, and with a little work, model paint, and glue you end up with a nice little structure that can be detailed with the addition of people, equipment or what ever one wants in the level of detail . Oh yes, as long as you are not looking for 40 year old versions of this, they are inexpensive.

great locomotive for O scale
very good level of detail for the price, and the dual motors combined with 6 pair of powered drivers under a heavy die cast body will pull any number of cars you can put behind it. The sound system is very good, capturing the different sounds of the two sets of drivers.
The only drawback as far as I am concerned is the fact that it does not start as smoothly as I would like. The very slow, smooth starts are not easy to achieve. But the price was the thing, only $378.36 including shipping !!! I must like it, I now have 2 of them!
