    Items were ordered on Jan. 29 but after several days I had not received a tracking number, only an order confirmation. I contacted the seller through eBay and asked for tracking number, seller assures item is “on its way”. I asked to provide tracking number, after a while seller says to check now. Finally a tracking number was given which was just created but was not shipped for another 7 days. Long story short, today the 16th of February and still no package! NEVER BUY FROM THIS SELLER !

    LIAR LIAR. The listing is clear on the handling time. This buyer was in a rush. Brought itn to the PO on the day I was supposed to. His email was responded to. That this would be the day. Guess he/she did not like that. Apparently the kit was useful. No return. Well another BOOTLEG CB amplifier is working! BLOCKED !

Secret uses for this New Old Stock industrial control Transformer
I paid $60.00 + 27.52 shipping. This is the 3rd 3KVA I purchased NOS at this reasonable cost. These G.E. Types are sitting on shelves all over the place. Numerous used ones to be found. They are & were used in factory's. Their original purpose was to step down the factory voltages to 110-120 for other equipment that needed this voltage. I am using them in reverse to step up the voltage. "Back feeding" this Transformer requires certain steps and precautions. Plenty of information on the internet on "Back feeding". I am using a 40 Amp soft start at the "output" which is now the "120v" input. Using a compounded full wave bridge at the 480v "input" which is now 480v output; I get the DC Plate voltage I require for my home brew Sweep tube RF Amp. This Iron could also be used for a large Audio amp using multiple tubes such as 36LW6. My generous estimate is that I need 2.4KVA . It is 3 X 36KD6 driving 8 36KD6. Ought to be about AM 1300+ watts rms in Grounded Grid tube configuration 2KW + PEP. My next project will be two of these GE in parallel. They will provide the current for 2 x driving 5x driving 13x RF Sweep tube RF Amp Beast. The 2.5 KVA 2KVA & 1.5KVa could be used to replace bad Iron on many vintage Sweep tube Amps. My opinion the average used prices are too high. Patience is a virtue. Their are other brands equally as good as the GE I bet.

Best Bang for Watts. Re-purposing. An Industrial Control Transformer.
Best Watts for your Buck. Re-purposing Used control Transformers into HV sweep tube Plate Transformers Ever tried to price a new1KVA vacuum tube plate transformer ? Cost is prohibitive. This a 1 KVA hunk of "Iron". I am using these type of transformers in linear amplifier applications. 120 AC v in. 460-0-460 out, Its called. Back feeding. Bear in mind this is a single phase transformer. Its a must. When back feeding. Use a Soft start circuit on the former output now input side of the iron. I discovered by trial and error. Putting two 1KVA of the same identical transformers is better than 1 2KVA transformer. Same Juice. But the 2x 1kva is a few pounds lighter than the 2KVA. Seems to hold true for the Dongans and GE. types single phase. 2x Dongan 1KVA will be used in the application as shown in the Photo. 2KVA is taller than the 2x 1KVA. The 2x 1KVA Dongans will fit snug in this vintage original enclosure ! 900+ volts at the plate of the 12x Sweep tubes. I have 1.5, 2 and 3 KVA Dongans. I don't know if its the Black color. But I like them more than the GE versions. Both are like the "everReady bunny" They just keep on going and going ! Photo is of a D&A Warrior Power Supply. I did not have time to remove the original smaller Iron. Or unpack the second Dongan 1KVA. It is obvious. Both Dongans will fit. 1/3 of the original transformer winding is a 12.6vtc fillament winding. When the upgrades are finished. The Warrior sweep tube fillament power will come from a separate fully regulated switching supply strapped on the back of the original Warrior.PSU ....... " Its got the Power Now" !

Good Cost Effective Cable that does most jobs except perhaps heavy duty welding
Diameter is between 0 & 1 gauge. It is not pure copper. It flexes quite well. lugs barely slip on. But they slip on. I used it to connect 2x 10,000 Watt Inverter's. Probably not suitable for a huge Welder. Will it handle car audio amplifier current draw. Of course. You can pay a lot more for pure Copper or Over size O gauge or True O gauge. But unless the power cable has to also be used as a welding Cable part time. Save your money. Aluminum coated copper. I used it also to hook up several deep cycle Battery"s to the monster alternator.. (300 Amps) I needed cheap that would do the Job. This did it. Good quality for little money with free shipping. The free fuse holder came in handy.
