Best off the shelf shock
The Rancho RS5000X series is most likely the best off the shelf shock for the price. The come in multiple travel lengths to accommodate suspension travel which is particularly useful in lifting your vehicle. Ride comfort is largely a combination of Shocks, Tire Load Rating, and Tire Pressure and I believe the RS5000X is a great foundation for a smooth ride. Rancho routinely offers 2 sales per year, one in the spring with the other being in Oct. and is usually a buy 3 get 4 arrangement.
