Good case for Mining Rig. Not recommended for beginner Miners.
0 of 2 found this helpful I bought this case with aim of consolidating one of My mining rigs. Already knew that there were some needed modifications to allow it to handle 6-7 GPUs. The front bays aren't needed at all. From there one has to create/fab a GPU mount. I used some thin aluminum bars from Home Depot. The central triple fan mount also has to be relocated. I decided to move it close to the mother board mount and utilize the makeshift GPU mount I created to also have it sit on. For reference so used 3x EVGA 1070 GTX SCs and 3x ASUS 1070 Dual. All 6 fit in there with room for a 7th. I also ended up using 140mm fans vice the 120mm ones for the front. I removed all the control wiring on the right side since the 140s take up space.
I've had it running for a day now. No issues except for heat as usual. I would not recommend keeping the stock 120mm at all. They're rated around 43 or so cfm. I'm looking to upgrade them to something that pushes double that along with 140s that push at least 80cfm or so.
The best thing about converting from an open air Mining Rig to this case is the amount of space one saves. Plus it's easier on the eyes.
