Hi, I have been an amateur and then part-time pro photographer for 50+ years. I have used all kind of film and digital gear up to 4x5" and shot a bunch of different subjects. For the last two decades, I've been focusing on landscapes, Nature and fine art. I have participated in almost 300 juried art and craft shows in the Northeast and showcase my work at wondrouslight.smugmug.com. Some 5 years ago I began making videos of artwork for artists and crafters, gardening and hiking.

A very competent FF camera for an honest price
No pro level cameras - the S5IIX IS a pro level camera - is easy to use given their mind-blowing set of features for both photography and video, which in the case of this camera has been further enhanced by the latest firmware (October 2014). Once learnt (manual, on-line tutorials, forums etc.), I find that the S5IIX is a very well built camera with a weather-sealed body, good ergonomics and, most importantly, a terrific feature set and image quality. This is a camera that, if you are in the market for a new one, definitively deserves a good consideration.

Best value for serious budget video-making
Currently best value for serious video-making on a budget or as a secondary camera. Check youtube for competent videos on this little jewel.

Bull's eye!
A truly great tool for iphone video conferences. I love it.
