Too good to be true?
No, this is the real deal, tested by trying to melt with soldering iron, and it stays unmarked. Excellent.

Machine tool leather belt saviour
The leather drive belts that are used on ancient machine tools, need some care to keep them soft and pliable and a little sticky so that they last and provide enough friction to work.
Gold label glycerin is the best product I have found to do this and can be applied in situ without removing the belt.
Spray it on both sides of the belt and rub in with your fingers and allow to soak in for a few hours.
Done every month or so has prevented breakages and cracking.
