ancient tuners on old Goya classical had cracked and fallen apart - these tuners did the trick at a very good price

no need for Tivo . . .
1 of 1 found this helpful 20 years ago i bought a Replay TV box for $700 - up to 14 hours of recording time (low quality) and ability to pause live programming. For $25 i got the ViewTV box and it out performs the Replay TV (and Tivo) recording in high definition. Set up was simple. I connected to the TV with HDMI, which gives perfect results. You do need to provide a thumb drive for recording purposes (or a hard drive.) I liked that you could hook up your antennae, and loop through to your TV's antennae input to watch TV normally (bypassing the ViewTV.) Makes it possible to record one show while watching another. Really can't say anything bad about it, did exactly what i wanted it to do. Note that if you have cable (I don't) it will only pick up unscrambled channels, no way to insert a 'cable card.'
