Voltage, watt meter and amp controller
Controller works great. Can preset limits and monitor my systems output and condition at any given moment.

12v water heater element.
I have a hot water boiler in my house.
I'm recently retired from a 44 yr
heating technician job.
I piped the element into my system with safety controls to limit the maximum amount of heat it puts out. I run the element off 3 100w solar panels through a controller. When my field installed temperature limit switch reaches its preset temperature it shuts off, leaving the boiler with hot water which radiates off into the house. Then it turns back on and repeats the process when the water cools. Although it is slow and works better on sunny days, any free heat is well received. This heat is maxed at approximately 900 BTU's, similar to 900 book matches lit at the same time.
This idea works wonders since the water is giving free heat during the day and during the off cycle charges my battery.and at night draws from my battery.

P.S. this works equally as well for water heaters although it has to be on a second, completely independent circuit.
