Great Deal for Beginners!
2 of 4 found this helpful I'm a beginner fiddle player, and I was not looking to spend a lot of money to buy an instrument. After much research, I decided on this package. I am very satisfied with it! The local music store had a very similar violin for sale for $100 more - just for the violin alone.
The varnish on the violin did arrive nicked in some places, which is disappointing considering the instrument is brand new, but it sounds pretty good and that's what counts. The bridge had come undone during shipping, but with the help of the little instruction pamphlet the instrument came with and good ole' youtube, I got everything put together and then tuned the instrument myself.
All in all, I think this is a great deal for beginners. Now I am free to learn and make mistakes on an instrument that did not cost a small fortune.
