Pretty but not a good fit......
The color and wood quality is nice and the step covers are nice. But the pieces don't fit together well. The screw caps don't tighten well, leaving gaps between the wood pieces. I had to use wood glue on all wood intersections. Also, one of the pieces didn't have screw holes for the step hinges and I had to create my own which involved marking the hole placement, drilling pilot holes and then attaching the hinges. This was difficult because it was inside the step, in a small, contained area where a normal drill doesn't fit. It's a pretty piece once it's put together but I wouldn't trust the stability of it beyond the size of a dog or cat.

Upgrades from the older version are a plus.
This canopy is definitely an upgrade from the older version I was using. I like the clamp style instead of the older version which had to be semi-permanently attached to the frame with screws using a screwdriver or drill. .... however, the clamps are a little small for my frame and canopy will have to be removed almost daily to prevent it from damage if it inadvertently comes off with a small wind. Definitely requires two or more people to assemble and attach to the frame.
Overall, I really like this canopy and feel it will be helpful to shade the pool on those very hot, sunny days.

could be better
There were no specific instructions so I'm still trying to figure out the best way to put them together so that one part goes to the bottom of the pool. Also they don't stay together very well and once I have them working, I will have to use strong tape so they actually stay together in hoop form. I like the colors and I'm looking forward to seeing them actually work.
