The Thorn Birds, dvd
1 of 1 found this helpful For many years The Thorn Birds has been a favorite: I have just reread the book; I own a copy of the movie on cassette tape; and now a copy on DVD, which I just viewed. A beautiful story and most enjoyable.

Tom Hanks as Sully
I love this movie! Having followed the reports when Captain Sullenberger actually put down the damaged plane in the Hudson River; going to the theater to see the story on the big screen; and watching it again on DVD in my living room, I am constantly amazed at what transpired and the aftermath. From the beginning to the end the movie is very well done and having one of my favorite actors (Tom Hanks) as Sully is definitely a bonus.
