HG Wells would be proud
0 of 1 found this helpful I must admit I am a sci-fi fan. I was sceptical of the film, having read early reviews.
It is a great movie worth watching more than once. You care about the characters. The story is true to the book in many ways. The film is definitely scary and portrays a believable situation of alien invasion. The two disc DVD has excellent extras on the making of the film. I am not a huge Cruise fan but he plays a common blue collar worker, with a desire for the survival of his children, very well.

Divorce for the cerebral, a winner
For anyone connected to a divorce situation, in anyway, this is a must see. It eloquently dramatises the problems children face whilst going through a divorce.
It makes you care about the characters and tells the story well. Perhaps the two most important factors in a good movie
