Excellent carry-around lens on a budget
2 of 2 found this helpful This is a very useful all-purpose lens and a good bargain at under $200. It is an older design AF lens, not using the exotic glasses available today, but a perfectly serviceable addition to your kit. It will focus down to one-half lifesize, although a bit of fiddling with the zoom and focus settings is a prerequisite. It works well with film and FX Digital format cameras and, of course, with DX format cameras with their 1.5x crop factor. Just be sure yours will take screw-drive AF.Good bokeh in out-of-focus areas at all focus distances makes it a winner, as well as its minimum distortion levels. Color rendition is very acceptable, as is its anti-flare properties.

A Handsome Table by Leick
1 of 1 found this helpful After a disappointment with a Brand-X table that was made mostly of pressed sawdust and resin I went back to Leick brand and was delighted with this piece. It is ALL WOOD, handsomely finished, and the parts fit together simply and well.
As always with DIY unassembled furniture you will save yourself much agony by buying/using a ratcheting and cllapsable driver set rather than trying to make the supplied allen-wrench in tight spaces. That said, assembly should take about half an hour.
My finished table sits at the end of a newly-purchased faux leather couch and next to an 1850s antique marble-top dresser; It complements both pieces very well and doesn't look out-of -place at all. I can't praise it enough.

Another Fujifilm Triumph
1 of 1 found this helpful This isn't your average kit zoom but rather a capable instrument to have along when changing a bag or pocket-full of prime lenses is either impossible or at least inappropriate. It is surprisingly sharp even at a stop down from wide open and the OIS stabilization compensates well for lack of speed. I have a lap-held "Moonrise over San Pedro CA" which gives fine detail to the docks and port area to show for it. (Sorry, Ansel. I couldn't make a daylight exposure for the moon.)
It's just a little beauty to have along when you need it most..
