Fast fun.
2 of 2 found this helpful Well, these are Auto World products. The design is good, the execution leaves a bit to be desired.
I participate in a group that races these particular chassis. The rules are pretty certain to encourage nearly stock components, so I buy these in groups of four or five to find one good chassis. This lot of five contained two good ones, which means I am a winner. with some detailed prep work, I can now win a race.
In a few months, these may slow to the point of being noncompetitive. They are cheap, and we are having fun.
These do make good replacement for the home track or small race groups that don't mind tinkering to get things in order.

Parts that work.
The Super Tires work great, and stay put. No problem with out of round, they were very true with very little trouble. The magnets were installed four to a car, instead of two per car. Corner speeds are absolutely nuts. We race a Tomy Mega G class with very limited mods. My straight away speed was fine, my corner speed was costing me too much time. I went from struggling to finish in sixth or seventh out of ten or twelve car fields to placing third. once, and second, twice.

Dick Landy's car
This is a good deal the body looks good, is well proportioned, and the finish is really good for the price. It isn't perfect, there are flaws. This was designed to be run down a track, so I am very happy with the overall product.
