Barber and Ives String Quartets: American Modern Chamber Music
If your desire is to have Barber's String Quartet played by one of the world's premier string quartets, this is an excellent choice. The Adagio is heard in the second movement in a pared down but still true to the harmonic and melodic constructs. The additional two Ives string quartets and the short Pastorale by Amy Beach round out this CD and make it standard fare for modern American chamber music. As with all Chandos products, the sound quality is excellent.

Good Value in Concert-Style Music Stand
This concert-style music stand was about one third less than the price charged on most musical supplies sites. It has a slightly heavier gauge pole, triad legs that are adjustable, and also the springs that can keep the pages of the music book held in place. The stand's height range is lower than some but can be also high enough to view while standing (unless you're Shaquille O'Neal's height). This was important to me as a classical and jazz guitarist who needs the stand to be set on the low end of its range. The leg spread and heaviness give it good stability. It has a nice black finish and very concert-hall professional look so when it sits on the side in my great room, it's not an eye sore like the chrome fold-up versions. I do my homework on these kinds of things and this is clearly one of the best values out there for this type of concert-style music stand.

Best Bike Bottle Despite One Minor Design Oversight
This new startup company realized a niche market with cyclists not having a good quality
double-walled insulated water bottle that fits a standard bicycle holder. Not sure what took so long. This design is excellent for thermal properties (cold liquids and ice last for hours, have not tried it fir hot beverages) and the spout mechanism draws with ease and without an annoying noise from the air make up valve that other products produce when drinking. It also has an uncomplicated lid for hot beverages that is leak proof like the cold beverage lid. The only design flaw was that the straw provided is about an inch short of the bottom. This is easily remedied with a proper length straw or one can just slip an additional length over the end of the straw provided (which I did) and it works perfectly. Easy to rehydrate while in motion and not have to look away from the road or tip a bottle up to get a drink. Rugged construction and great finishes as well. A very good investment for a regular cyclist.
